By road
Journey time from Calais / Boulogne is ten to twelve hours, which can be done in a (long) day, but we would recommend a more leisurely trip down with an overnight stop.
Coming from the north, the A7 motorway takes you down the Rhone valley, exit at Avignon Sud and then follow the RN100 (N4100) via Apt to Forcalquier. It is also possible at Lyon to take the A51 motorway heading towards Grenoble and then follow the Durance valley via Sisteron to Exit 19 Forcalquier.
